WAGGA’S Bidgee Blues Club will be joining with blues clubs all over the world next month to celebrate the inaugural International Blues Music Day.
Blues clubs all over the world will join the event to celebrate this music genre, with a great weekend of music planned for Wagga.
From lunchtime on Saturday, August 3, the Bidgee Blues Club will feature Jarryn Phegan, Joey Knight and Indey Salvestro, followed by Sydney band Wards Xpress, Albury-Wodonga blues club’s band Highway 31 Blues Band, and local bands 13 Wins, Switch to Whiskey and Groove Factorie.
Entry is $15, or $10 for members.
That night the Home Tavern will come alive with Flaming Beauties (Finn) from Sydney, starting at 9.30pm and playing on into the night.
The musical celebrations will continue on August 4 with the monthly Open Mic Afternoon with houseband Finn from Sydney.
Bidgee Blues Club is a not-for-profit organisation that encourages local musicians to keep blues music alive and provide Wagga musicians with somewhere to practice and gain confidence.
