A WAGGA-BASED mobile phone application has taken Australia by storm, claiming awards in two categories at the recent Australian Mobile Awards.
365cups is a mobile application, or app, that lets people place coffee shop orders online so when they arrive at their favourite coffee shop, their coffee is ready.
Created by Wagga’s Simone Eyles, 365cups claimed the best web and best food and drink app categories at last week’s Australian Mobile Awards.
The app has been extremely popular, recently processing its 50,000th order.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Trad and Investment, Andrew Stoner, said the awards recognised a great idea that had come to fruition.
“It’s another example of the excellence in innovation, creativity and digital entrepreneurship we have here in NSW, and these awards are fantastic recognition of Simone’s efforts to drive the business,” he said.
“The business is building a strong base in Australia and New Zealand, and exploring opportunities to export the service to other coffee-loving countries around the world.”
The app will be on show at the Flavours of NSW stand at next week’s Fine Food Australia exhibition in Melbourne.
