AN international milliner whose clientele includes members of the royal family will share some of her knowledge in Wagga next week.
Royal milliner Jane Taylor will be among the international contingent and the International Millinery Forum, which will run in Wagga from January 12 to 17.
Forum coordinator Linda Tillman said the internationally renowned millinery designers would provide a wealth of knowledge for local participants.
“With a colourful program of workshops and master classes spanning across six days, the International Millinery Forum provides an opportunity like no other for milliners to learn, network and share their skills and abilities under the guidance of world class professionals,” she said.
Now in its fourth year, the forum provides a unique experience for Wagga, offering workshops, slideshows and a cocktail party featuring a hat parade.
In 2014, the wider community will also have the chance to experience great millinery without attending the full forum.
“We are offering a series of community events and activities that will allow the general public to get involved in the event – a hat parade in the Wagga Marketplace, an exhibition of hats in the Art Gallery and a public appearance by Jane Taylor, our international guest tutor,” Ms Tillman said.
“In addition to these great opportunities there is the cocktail party and hat parade which is always a spectacular affair, and the closing gala event which this year is themed ‘Aussie Summer’.”
Registration fees for the forum start at $775 for delegates to attend the full event, with options to register for individual sessions too.
